MGMT – When You Die

Haven’t genuinely fucked with MGMT since their second album, Congratulations, so hearing how immaculate their new single is truly warms my heart. The instrumentation is reminiscent of one of my favorite tracks from them, “Of Moons, Birds & Monsters” off their debut album. The lyrics take a dark turn on this one, as it laughs in the face of death, which might take a couple listens to truly interpret. Regardless “When You Die” sounds heavenly, and will be a part of their fourth studio album Little Dark Age. Watch the psychedelic music video above, directed by Mike Burakoff and Hallie Cooper-Novack and starring Alex Karpovsky and Lucy Kaminsky.

Syd – All About Me

One of Odd Future’s founding producers and lead singer of the recent breakout band The Internet, Syd, is about to drop her solo album this year. “All About Me” is the first single off of the project titled Fin, and comes as a music video featuring cameos from her OFWG mates. Watch it above.

Lil’ Peep feat. Yung Bruh – White Tee

Honestly, at first I just fucked with these guys’ names – Lil Peep and Yung Bruh – and the instrumental rework of The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” on this track is on point. But upon finding Lil Peep’s crybaby mixtape, I think I may have to dig into this project a little bit more. Check that out with me below.
