Kanye West on SNL

Rumors have been cleared and confirmation has been made that Kanye West will be performing on Saturday Night Live’s season finale. On May 18th Kanye will be featured as the closing artist for the show that he had once so straightforwardly dissed on his song ‘Power’.

F@#$ S.N.L. and their whole cast, tell them Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass. More specifically they can kiss my asshole.

These lyrics were in response to the show making fun of him after the whole Taylor Swift MTV Video Music Awards scandal. Since then Kanye has appeared on SNL, where he actually performed ‘Power’ but changed the lyrics for the show.

Hopefully we hear some Yeezy tracks on May 18th, and get an announcement for his upcoming album.

Update: Kanye has just tweeted the release date for his album will be the 18th of June.

New Zeds Dead Mix

ImageThe Zeds Dead boys have been nice enough to release a free mix for their fans. Infused with some heavy dubstep, trap and house this track list showcases their ear for good tunes and  incredible mixing. You can steam and download the mix below.

Free The Universe

After a couple months of delays, Major Lazer’s  Free The Universe has finally dropped. The mastermind behind the whole production, Diplo, has been running the EDM game as of late. He’s been giving out music on a weekly basis, is releasing a movie about the EDM scene with 20th Century Fox, has been headlining the biggest festivals, and now his awaited Major Lazer album is available in it’s entirety.

A number of standout tracks are on this project. The production touches base on all different genres; from reggae, dancehall, moombahton, and trap. Here are a couple of my favorites tracks from it. Check ’em out, and support the album.

Drake x Rick Ross x Lil Wayne

Maybach Music Group and Young Money collaborate once again over one of fellow producer DJ Khaled’s beats. Riding on Drake’s new motto ‘No New Friends’, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne join him and vent their feelings about the rap game. This song will appear on DJ Khaled’s album, Suffering From Success.

Cudder is Back

After a long stretch of questionable releases, Scott Mescudi has finally come out with something that sounds like the Kid Cudi we used to know and love but a little more deranged. Not going to lie, I was skeptical of how his new album would turn out. But instead, I was very impressed after listening to Indicud. This one will be on rotation for a good while.

Here is one of the stand out tracks of the album for me. He teams up with Compton’s lyrical bandit, Kendrick Llamar, on this gritty track. Listen below.

New Joey Bada$$

Joey Bada$$ has got to be the best new MC on the come up right now. He’s got a smooth flow with intelligent lyrics that he lays down on some of the sickest beats. With this song alone it is easy to see why he is one of XXL’s Top 10 Freshman rappers of 2013. Looking forward to hearing more from this guy.

Must Be Played At High Volume

Carnage and Borgore team up to make this colossal track.Your mind will be blown the moment the beat drops. I really can’t say much more, other than play this on the loudest system you can find and have 9-1-1 on speed dial just incase that brain of yours actually does explode.
